I dug up this link to an article from the Huffington Post(January 2011, by Linda Tischler). I loved the approach she mentions to “redesigning” your life; not necessarily an overhaul, just looking at the themes you are focusing on, looking at yourself, and making an version for the new year. Like an update for your life’s OS.
It is an interesting approach and incredibly useful, especially since I know many of you friends are visual thinkers. It’s driving me NUTS that I can’t find the one I made last year because I remember that “health” was one of the things that I was focusing on, and last year I’ve gotten into the best shape I’ve been in in a long time.
Anyways, sit down with a few sheets of blank paper and a pen or pencil, skim through the intro, and get to the part of the article where Ayse Birsel, the designer, starts explaining the steps she took to deconstruct and then redesign the way she was living her life. It’s a great thing to do in the next few days to start the year off with a powerful, focused idea of where you are going.
